Grand Experiment Part III: Odwalla Strawberry C Monster

Ew.

Ew ew ew ew ew.

That was DISGUSTING!

Now, I love strawberries. Anything strawberry flavored is really good to me. But this was just gross!

When I opened the bottle, there were clumps of orangey-pink ooze clinging to the rim. But I decided to drink it anyway. Big mistake. It tasted really sour, and it didn't even taste like strawberries! It tasted like oranges, which I hate.

This one fails badly. 0 all around. It was just gross. Don't get this one!

I'm just gonna eat a granola bar instead.

The water chugger!

Ah...so far, my five-day diet and exercise streak is going well! I haven't weighed myself (I do that on Thursday) but I can already see that my curves are starting to come back! I'm really excited. Joey and I even went power-walking tonight.

I love the new Disney parks commercial! But not the Olive Garden pasta one, because I am a SUCKER for good Italian food! Not good for the thighs.

I really hate drama. There's girl I know, Kelli, who's been causing a lot of it. She went through a nasty breakup with my boyfriend's best friend. For a while she was out to ruin his life, and then she hated Patrch's younger sister, who has a mutual crush on Kelli's old boyfriend. Then Kelli decided she has a crush on her ex-boyfriend's twin brother and has been trying to act on it. It's crazy! I really want to just stay out of it, but she keeps trying to involve everyone, especially poor Patch. She's putting a lot of pressure on him, and it's driving me crazy! I really wish I could shake some sense into her, but everyone wants to handle her delicately. Which, ironically, was what she went down on us for, because she thought we were being too nice to Patch's barely-fifteen-year-old sister Rachel. I keep thinking unkind thoughts, but really, I can't help it. I just don't say anything or act on them. I write long letters that I don't send. Still, though, I'd like to give her a quick shake and put some sense in her.

Snoopy!!! rehearsal went well tonight. I'm only a bit player (I'm playing Marcie in the ensemble), but it's going to be a really good show and I'm excited to be in it. Around twenty to thirty people auditioned, but only eleven people were cast. I feel very fortunate!

Anyways...I'm pretty much done. See ya soon!

Best laid plans...

Ah...so I didn't blog this weekend...and I need to go to bed soon, so this won't be a very long blog.

Quick recap:

Did laundry with Joey at my house. Got my hair cut (woo bangs!). Went to Panera's for dinner with family, Joey, and Patch. Bought two headbands. Went to church the next day. Had lunch with Patch and his family. Went to Bible study. Creamed Ethan at Yu-Gi-Oh!. Drank some soda. Had classes today. Cannot find my school ID to save my life.

Yeah...that's pretty much it.

I've got a Biology test tomorrow, and I suck at biology, so I think I'm gonna go. But see you tomorrow, when I'm conscious!

The Grand Experiment Part II: Odwalla Super Protein Chocolate

Hm yeah...so totally did not blog Saturday or Sunday night...but here I am!

I tried the Odwalla Super Protein Chocolate drink. Pretty good...pretty good...it has soy in it, which is really healthy. It has a lot of sugar, though, and a lot of carbs. But still pretty good.

Taste: It's hard to go wrong with chocolate. But there's soy...there's a hint of banana, almost. But a 7. I'll give a 7. Ooh, or an 8. I'll go with an 8.
Aftertaste: Not bad at all. It fades pretty quickly, too. I'll give it a 9.
Texture: Nice! Smooth and creamy. An 8.
Health Benefits: It's pretty healthy, but pretty high in sugar. Oh, well. 7.
Look/Smell: Not too bad...I'll go with a six or a seven. 7.

Total Score: 39 out of 50. I enjoyed it! Not for all the time, though, but it's pretty good when I want some chocolate.

I totally forgot the title the first time...

Ah...it's nice to be home.

I live in a very nice dorm on campus. It's in a suite setup, with three floors built around a courtyard. Each suite has a bathroom, a common room, and four bedrooms. The suite I'm in is on the second floor, near the back door, and only five people live in it. But as nice as the dorm is, it's nice to be home!

Joey came home with me, and Patch came over for dinner. I made rosemary-honey-lemon chicken, mashed potatoes, salad, biscuits, and lemon cake. Yum! I went way over my calorie intake, but YUM! I miss cooking. I'm a Southern lady at heart. I adore cooking, especially for a lot of people. Unfortunately, my body goes no! But really, I didn't go too far over my limit, and I'll be really careful tomorrow.

Speaking of tomorrow, I'm getting my hair cut at ten. Yay! I haven't gotten it cut since May, and it's quite shaggy, to say the least. My bangs are so long they go past my chin! I might even get highlights tomorrow. Red ones. Mm...

I've gotten fourteen visitors so far. It's so exciting! Thank you!

I was signed up for an acting class this weekend, but I had stuff come up, and then totally forgot to let my theater professor know. Oh, well.

I'm rather tired...but satisfied.

I wish my voice teacher would help me work on my chest range, especially belting. He's a great teacher, but I really would like to work on those areas, since they're stronger than my reedy head voice and it would build up my confidence to improve my chest voice.

I absolutely love my boyfriend. He's the greatest guy anyone could ask for, and I'm so grateful that he loves me! Hopefully I get to see him tomorrow...

Oh, no experiment review tomorrow. Expect the next one on Monday...

See ya soon!

Grand Experiment Part I: Odwalla PomeGrand Limeade

Well, I'm not going to have cough drops before I drink this again...

Anyways, I'm testing Odwalla PomeGrand Limeade. Pretty good...pretty good. I love limeade, so that's pretty good. And I've had Pom juice before, and it's pretty good.

OPGL is fairly yummy. It seems kind of rich, but it's all fruit juice. Let's rate it...

Taste: I love limeade. I'll give it a 6.
Aftertaste: Slightly gross. That could be because of the cough drop I had earlier. But in any case, it makes my throat feel a little weird. Not good. Here's a 4.
Texture: Very nice! Very thick and smooth. 8.
Health Benefits: It's uber healthy (all natural ingredients) but there's 30 carbs. 8.
Look/Smell: It looks pretty (no pulp! Yay!) but it smells just a little off. But not much. 8.

Total Score: 34 out of 50. Overall pretty good, but I won't drink it on voice lesson days anymore.

Thursday Thirteen #1

Thirteen Things about YOUR NAME

1. Procrastinators of the world, unite!...tomorrow. I'll have to remember to do my Thursday Thirteens earlier in the day...

3. Don't always trust the pasta in the school cafeteria.
4. Allergies can really knock you out!
5. Sometimes you have to learn to just keep your mouth shut and not get pissy at little things.
6. Good guys are rare to find. When you find a really good one, KEEP HIM!
7. I have to remember to eat lunch at the high school tomorrow.
8. I need to decide what I'm cooking for dinner tomorrow. I'm going home for the weekend and Patch is coming over!
9. I really ought to go to bed, because I have to get up early for voice tomorrow and practice.
10. I hope no one loses their pants at my wedding.
11. I wish my carpal tunnel would go away and leave me alone.
12. Bob Saget has vanished from public view. Most of the Full House cast has vanished from public view. Yet what is one of the most popular shows amongst college students? Full House.

Let's see how it goes!

*enters and curtsies*

Hello! And welcome to my inagural post.

If you are reading this on the actual day I begin, thank you! I feel special.

If you are reading this because you discovered my blog and decided to read the archives to catch up, thank you! I feel special.

*clears throat* I ought to introduce myself. My name is Lucy Alice Catherine Elizabeth Jones-Smith. Obviously, that is not my real name. I dislike stalkers. So please, call me Lally. Or Cait. I answer to either.

I am (at this writing) a nineteen-year-old college student attending Fairly Small Southern Christian College, known hereafter as LU. I am majoring in theater and double-minoring in English and education. My ultimate dream is to be a voice actress for cartoons and animated films, but on a more practical level I'm planning on being a high school theater teacher.

I am very short, a bit chubby, with light reddish-blondish-brown hair and gray-blue eyes. I try to dress nicely without being trashy. I love Broadway, Japanese pop, and some rock music. I have a God-given gift for playing Yu-Gi-Oh!. I am obsessed with Disney World, since I worked there on the college program last year. Alice in Wonderland is my favorite heroine.

I have an awesome set of friends, known alternately as the Fellowship or WOTW. I am rooming with Kacie Jo (usually just called Joey), and Elly and Sio live in the dorm across from ours. Llysta is going to Medium-Sized Local Community College. Ary is at Rather Large Southern College in the Mountains. Crissy is at Medium Sized Southern College in the Sticks. And Keri and Kai are seniors in high school.

I have the most AMAZING boyfriend ever. His name is Patch. (Not his real name either...but I don't like stalkers!) He goes to Ginormous State School, about 45 minutes to an hour away from me. It's not too bad, though, because I see him every Wednesday and Sunday, and sometimes the whole weekend. He's a very handsome guy: 5'10", slightly longish dark hair, big blue eyes, fair-skinned, really great arms, an amazing smile. And he's so sweet to me. He's very easygoing, very fun to be with, easy to laugh with. I am truly in love with him. I've known him for two years, and we've been dating for six and a half months. We really want to get married after we graduate, and he's told me that he's planning on proposing to me sometime before July. I'm quite excited!

As for me myself personally, I have a lot of goals. I shall present them now:

I love writing, but I lack discipline. I constantly start new stories and either never get around to writing them or I start and realize it sucks and leave it. I really want to finish a whole novel.

I want to get through fall semester with a 3.0 or higher. I need to keep my scholarships! Bible and French are easy As, but biology and algebra, not so much.

I really need to lose weight. I'm short (only five feet tall) but I weigh around 149 pounds, putting me at a 29.2 BMI. Obesity starts at 30. It makes me a little nervous and a lot self conscious. My legs and arms slimmed down last semester, but my stomach is puffy and my face is too round. Besides, my doctor said that a good weight for me would be 100-120 pounds. I hope to be down to that level again by this time next year. My target weight is 115 lbs.

So that's pretty much me in a nutshell. I hope that people read this blog!

Current Mood: I have to go to the bathroom!
